PSB on Stage

A showcase of Filipino culture and life in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This is a musical variety show that featured the amazing and much-loved talents of the students and staff of Philippine School (Bahrain) last March 3, 2017 at Al Rajah School Auditorium, Ras Ruman, Manama.

PSB on Stage became a talk of the town and even went on viral the social media because of its fantastic and spectacular choreography and lessons which won the hearts of the Kababayans in Bahrain. Indeed, it was interesting and newsworthy.

The venue was filled with excitement and feeling of pride when all the performers sang the “Magandang Buhay” followed by different performances of the students and cast of characters, the Kindergarten pupils presented the “Tatlong Bibe”. The Kids Choir sang the Po at Opo and Munting Pamana, the Banyuhay Dancers from primary grades presented a modern dance entitled “Closer”. The Vocal Ensemble of intermediate grades sung “Pamulinawen” and “Waray Waray”. The Banyuhay Dancers from intermediate grades expressed their longing to the country’s capital city Manila through a dance presentation, the Dulawisay group and high school Banyuhay Dancers presented the different folk dances like “Tinikling”, “Binusuan” and “Pista sa Nayon”.  “Sa Ugoy ng Duyan”, a song that melted the hearts of the audience was performed and sung by Ms. Ivy Loraine.

Mr. Dennis Alimuin, a parent, the Faculty and Staff choir, and the high school Chorale also participated and showed their best in singing.

PSB on Stage wouldn’t have succeeded without the dedication and commitment of the valuable and inspired members of the production team headed by Dr. Geronimo R. Salem as the project manager, the Board of Governors, Mr. Glenn D. Raz as stage director together with Ms. Melinda Nomananap, the School Principals, teachers and staff and the unfailing support of all the parents.

The success is also attributed to the overwhelming support of all of the parents of the students who became the primary sponsors as well as the company sponsors like BFC, MSCEB, Al Azzam Group, Ammar Transport, Filex Cargo, Alpha Fire Services, Mohamed Ahmadi Company, Rock Restaurant, Filipino Life Magazine, Al Mersaq Tailoring, Reflector Media, and Just Party.

PSB on Stage which means “Pilipino Sa Bahrain” is a fund raising project for the improvement of the school playground. It aims to primarily uphold relevance and impact on the Overseas Filipino Workers and pay tribute to their sacrifices by giving them meaningful experience and inspirations.

PSB on Stage, “Tungkol sa atin ito. Para sa atin ito. Kwento natin ito.”

This is about them, this is about you, this is about us.
